If your coming to Bali and looking for something a little different, something not every tourist on the island is doing or even know about for that matter, then give this list a try.

1. Tattoo For A Taco

On any given Tuesday night in Bali you order yourself some food (A Taco) and in return get yourself a free tattoo! This happens at the surf and motor bike brand “Deus ex Machina” shop which is located in the area of Canggu. There are a few simple steps you need to complete to ensure you get your free tatt however, which include the following:

  1. Go to Deus ex Machina and make a reservation for a table on a Tuesday at 5.30 p.m.
  2. Design your tattoo. You will only have 20-30 minutes for a tattoo so make it small and simple. The tattoos will also only be done in black ink.
  3. Order yourself some food and drinks and keep your eyes open for an empty blackboard that they will put up. Once it is up be super fast, spots go really quickly and they are limited.
  4. If you are one of the lucky few to make it to the blackboard on time, your next job is just to relax and wait to be called. Once called hand over your design and let the fun begin.

2. Animal Cafe

If you have a beloved pet back home that you are missing, why not head to the Cat cafe in Ubud. Here you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee, grab something to eat and play with the cute little kitties for as long as your heart desires. The cats are free to roam as they please and it is advised that you do not go up to the cats and pick them up, but instead leave it up to the little furry guys to approach you. The cafe can become rather busy, so its best to get there early. Maybe breakfast or even brunch with the cats would be a great start to the day.

3. Mud Wrestling

Green School in Bali is situated between rice fields and traditional Balinese villages. Its built entirely out of Bamboo and the Green School has an amazing endangered bird rehabilitation program, an organic vegetable garden which is completely grown by the students, a massive crystal radiating positive energy and light on the playground, an all natural swimming pool and lastly the most exciting thing….. a mud pit. The students, teachers and even visitors can engage in playful mud wrestling tournaments. There are also events held here during the full moon. This is a place less known to the abundance of tourists and something a little different that you wouldn’t expect to do on your holiday to Bali.
